My shower is being held for me after the baby is born because family from out of town wanted to come but they didn't want to make 2 trips out...So now my showe is after. I have never heard of a shower being after although a lot of people tell me this is smarter because then gifts can be more gender based (which I am kind of worried they made a mistake that I am having a girl and I will only have pink things and end up with a boy!- so I guess that bits good). But I am not sure what to do with the guests with the party...I am not really hosting my own party but it isn't a surprise so I am now kind of involved...Lol. I only know of games for before baby is born...So has anyone had a shower after baby is born? What did you all do?

Thanks!

We did this for my sister after she had my neice. We didn't play any games or anything, but our whole family was there, including friends of the family, and we just brought gifts for my neice, and ate dinner. You don't really need to play any games when you have a baby to play with!

My shower is being held after I have the baby. I know a lot of people who have them before hand which can be a big help with buying what you need. But since I didnt' find out the sex I think it's easier this way to wait until after baby is born that way it's easier for people to buy according to what the sex is. Plus this way the baby is there for everyone to see.

Hehe thanks for replying you guys. I guess with the baby you don't really need games lol...I just seem to have this really large invitation list..But i'm sure people will just mingle and there will be food and stuff.

My friend had the shower a few weeks after the baby was born because she waited till last minute to figure out what the sex was she wanted to keep it a suprise and I thought that it was actrually a good idea we still had fun games to play and everything :)
