How Much Cramping Is Normal? Posted: 02-09-06 11:31am
I am 13 weeks pregnant. The cramps with
in the last couple of days has been so
uncomfortable. Its very uncomfortable to
walk. Its not sharp pains or anything,
just crampy. Is this anything to worry
about? It seemed to happen ever since a
drank a cup of coffee yesterday. I never
drink coffee but I had to bring my husband
to his doctors appointment really early
and I needed to wake up. Could the
caffine have had anything to do with
this?
Has anybody else experienced this?

Have you pooped since the cup of coffee??
If not..Than I wouldn't stress the
cramping..Cuz it's prob. Dookey cramps..I
know that when I used to smoke...If I
drank a cup of coffee and smoked a
cig...It was like a prescription to poop
cramps!! Lol....
If you have pooped...Than watch for
spotting, sharp cramps accompanied with
spotting, and water leakage....Call your
Dr. If your symptoms persist!!
Good luck!!

it may simply be the beginning of braxton
hicks contractions (practice contractions)
but since it's out of the ordinary for
you, then you should call your ob. Just
to be sure.
You can get bh cx if you're dehydrated, so
you might want to drink a 16-24 ounces of
water and wait 15 minutes. If the
cramping subsides, then you know you
weren't drinking enough. You should be
drinking a gallon of water per day while
pregnant.

Ever since the start of my pregnancy, ive
always been constipated. Maybe that has
something to do with it. My midwife said
that it could just be my uterus stretching
for the baby and that the cramps are
normal. I think that waitressing all
night isnt helping at all. I never get a
chance to put my feet up. Im on my feet
all night.
I didnt know that your suppose to drink a
gallon of water while your pregnant. I
have maybe a couple of glasses a day. I
guess I better get on that.
So, there hasnt been any really sharp
pains, leaking or spotting so I guess I
wont worry. I just hope that the baby is
alright. Stressing about it cant be good
either.
Thanks for everybody's input. If any body
else has any idea's, let me know.

As long as you aint bleeding or spotting
then the cramping is normal, im having my
3rd baby and im still having the
occasional cramps, my midwife informs me
that this is normal as my insides have to
stretch and move to make way for the
growing baby. You will be feeling alot
more strange things as time goes on but
any serious pains must be looked into, a
hot water bottle or a relaxing bath may
help.
