Digestive & Bowel Disorders Answer A413
A decrease in mucous during bowel movements can indicate a rectal inflammation called proctitis or inflamed rectal hemorrhoids. You can go to your family doctor as soon as possible for an examination and for full diagnostic help. S/He may refer you to a GI (gastro-intestinal) specialist, if necessary.
