Q: Post Hip Replacement And Kayaking

Had ceramic, anterior, min. Incision surgery. Any one kayaking after hip replacement when healed? Any problem rolling kayak? Not caring to do any hard whitewater, just play in the water, easy rivers, bays, lakes, occassionaly roll boat. Thanks

Sorry, but I don't know. But would love to know. Please, if you find the answer out elsewhere, would you post it here as well? Just had a ceramic, and kayaking is on the list of things that i'd really like to do. Thanks.

Kayaking Post Double Thr
I'd like to find out about kayaking after thr, especially, double thr. I'm scheduled for the first surgery on april 11. Any info regarding this topic will be greatly appreciated. I really do not want to give up kayaking. thanks in advance.

Hi all,

you can read posts from other "hippies" (thr patients) about kayaking post-thr on the web site "totally hip". It is a support group for thr people. There is a message board on there with some really great people. I believe the main page is totallyhip.Org. Anyway, I coppied the web address from the message board, it is disc.Server.Com/indices/8340.Html

this is really a great site to gather information and opinions.
