Q: Morning Headaches Completely Unmanageable
asked by: DoctorQuestion on February 5th, 2006
For the past week I have been experiencing these wild head pains on each side of my head around my temples and about 3 inches back on each side.I have been waking up in the mornings with these uncontrolable headaches then around noon they are completely gone. Its the same thing every morning. There are no other symptoms.I was to my Family Dr back in April for stabbing pains in my head he said they were called Ice Pick headaches and prescribed for me an anti-inflamitory called indomethacin could it be my ice pick headaches or something else?? Please help me I am worried it may be something serious like a brain tumor or something!!!

Headache, Migraines, Sinus Conditions Answer A381
If you had brain tumor you would have other symptoms in addition to a headache. You can check your eyes (vizus, campus, eye pressure and eye bottom) and sinuses first as possible causes for your pain. Measuring blood pressure and performing standard blood analyses might also identify possible points of origin for these headaches. A brain tumor can be excluded only with a CT-scan. If all analyses are OK, your headache is probably psycho-emotionally conditioned.
