Ok i've added up everything that i'd need about 400 in extra things.

I've calculated that to care for an infant one year, it would approx. Cost $4,500. Does that sound realistic because if I work and get $120 for 4 months and $220/wk for 3 months I should have right around that amount.

Hi there

iv'e never sat down and done the maths myself.
Here are some things to consider that might help;

purchase of a cot/basinette, high chair, pram

diapers - around 30 a week as a basic guide

formula if you are not breastfeeding - I used a tin a week (maybe a little more)

sterilizing equipment / tablets etc.

Clothing - babies grow incredibly quickly and you are always buying clothes

childcare - if you intend to go to work, you may have to pay for childcare

on top of that you have to consider cost for rent, food, petrol to and from work etc.

Best wishes, sandy

For my daughter I spend roughly about 2500-3600 a year depending on if I spoil her or not lol but for basic necessities I pay 2500 a year
diapers/wipes (month) 55
clothes/shoes(if she needs them) 20-100
food/milk about 150/month for elisa
when she was on formula I was paying 80-100 a month(nestle good start)

with all my other bills no im going back to work full time but peps is staying home with my kids until he has to go back to work and then im going part time cause I was paying 700/month for daycare yeah ouch!! The woman who wathced my daughter is moving so the next cheapest one is 740$/month for one kid and im gonna have two!!!

You should be fine as long as that is extra money you have not including rent/gas/bills etc

good luck!
