My Boyfriend Does Not Want to Use Condoms
Posted: 02-04-06 12:25pm

Hello i'm 17 years old turning 18 in about 2 months...I've been using birth control pill (ortho-tricyclen lo) for almost a month already...My boyfriend does not want to use condoms...Coz I guess it decreases that sensation or watever..And I just want to be extra safe even though i'm taking birth control pills...Can anyone suggest me something that I can use besides condoms to decrease the possibility of pregnancy even more? Thanks

You can try spermicidal jelly you can buy it at walmart or other stores in the section where the condomsare they also have other items. And remember to take your birth control every day around the same time. Just remember both of you need to get tested before you stop using condoms. I hope I could help.

If you will feel safer using condoms, then tell him so. If he still does not want to make you feel comfortable because he's doing all his thinking with his dick, then it's a pretty big red flag that he just wants you for some action, not because he cares. Who gives a flying crap if the sensation isn't as good? There's still sensation. Tell him to quit being such a whiny baby unless he wants to increase the risk of having to care for a whiny baby.

You are both aware that birth control is not 100 percent effective in preventing conception, correct? Taken correctly, it is about 99 percent effective - correctly is the key word. One in 100 women who use it properly will still get knocked up, and if you mess up once and miss a pill, the effectiveness of the pill decreases.

Anyway, if you're looking for more protection, you can try spermicide. I have no idea how effective it is, but it's still protection.

I have also heard that condom's don't decrease sensation at all - that it's a load of crap! You can get a bunch of different kinds, and I think there is an "extra thin" kind too.

If he dosn't want to use one, he really only cares about himself and not about you! The thin ones will have more of a sensation then a normal one, but as long as the guy has the big o at the end, he shouldn't even be mad about using a condom! Do what feels right to you if you feel safer using a condom he should respect it!

He could look at it this way: no sex at all, or sex with maybe a tiny bit less sensation - let him decide!

What you feel should be taken into consideration. Make sure he's gonna be there is things change.
