Do your panic attacks just hit you
suddenly or can you feel them coming on?
I will feel fine and then in a second flat
i'll feel my heart pounding and
palpitating and have numbness and
dizziness and all that so I think it's
panic attacks. Is that normal of a panic
attack?

I have only had a few panic attacks, 2
really strong ones over the last 6 months.
I am usually thinking about something
that really stresses me out... To the
max... When it hits me. Now that I know
what they are I can keep them under
control a little better. I have learned
to recognize what is going to happen if I
don't calm down. The worst part for me
is the tight throat and chest... I can't
breath very well at all... And I have
pretty good chest pain, pounding racing
heart... In fact, I went to the er the
first time cuz I thought for sure
something was wrong with my heart, which
would be crazy because I am a 20 year old
female that has been in vigorous athletics
my whole life. So thats what they are
like for me and they do come one very fast
unless I stop and calm down. They are
certainly not fun! Do you know if you
suffer from some form of anxiety?

Nobody has officially diagnosed me with
anxiety, but i'm pretty sure I have some
kind of anxiety disorder, i'm always
worrying about everything, especially my
health, and I have aches and pains
everywhere especially in my right leg. I
just get really freaked out, cuz I won't
even be thinking about anything and they
hit me really quickly.

I to have panic attacks that come from
nowhere. I must say that the first step
that I took was recognizing the feeling
before they came. When you can start
feeling them coming, then you can start to
realize that it's only a "panic attack"
and you're not going to die. I'm not
going to say that it's easy by any means
because I know how they feel. But, once
you can realize the oncoming, and learn to
deal with it accordingly...It will make
your life easier.
Another thing is, (at least for me) watch
my diet, and by diet I mean something that
would trigger and attack. Start thinking
about what you've had to eat or drink
prior to the attack. Be it food, drink,
or smoke. Some of us are just more
vulnerable than others.
Good luck, and please let me know how it
turns out
