Lutera
I have been on lutera for two months.. i have nausea here and there especially if i don't eat right away in the morning. ( i take the pill before bed at night) Seems to be getting better though. My face has been slightly broken out this whole second pack though! I feel like im 16 again! Also had some spotting this month... No biggy i guess. Why can't my husband just take a birth control pill!?

This is my first time ever taking any kinda of birth control. I'm a sophomore and it's homecoming week and i've been puking all week. It started the first or second week I was on it, then a week or two later. This is the worst i've felt in a very long time and now I might mess the pep rally tonight because of it. I refuse to take Lutera ever again.

Lutera is not for me
I have been on Lutera for about 7-8 months, and while it has stopped the breakthrough bleeding I was experiencing with Ortho Tri-cyclin Lo (which I loved, and was on for about 6 years, when I started to get breakthrough bleeding, which my doctor told me that can happen if your hormones change over time, and it just wasn't strong enough anymore), I have now started breaking out with acne really badly, and my mood swings are just terrible. I lose it over stupid, little things, and I cannot stand the ups and downs it is putting me through. I hate to have to switch birth controls again, because I feel like it is wreaking havoc on my body, but I can't stand this birth control pill. Maybe it just isn't the right one for me, because reading other people's posts they seem to be ok with it. If I wasn't so worried about getting pregnant I would quit birth control pills altogether, but I have to wait until at least May, when I finally finish school, then I think I will quit using birth control and find some other alternative.

re: lutera
My doc which my birh control to lutera too because i wanted to take it continually so i didn't havea cycle but 3 or 4 times a year. I hated it, i gained weight was tired and bleed all the time. Sometimes it would stop for a few days then i would be out somewhere and there it was. Ater dealing with this for 8 months i got off them and now i haven't had a cycle for 3 months and i'm on nothing and i'm not prego. It's driving me crazy. Gina

Lutera, first time user
Ive just started Lutera and have been very happy with it. Like others have mentioned, I have breast tenderness but that is not so bad.

I have never been on birth control before and kind of feel silly asking this but when you are on the last 7 pink pills of the pack is sex safe if the period hasn't started yet? I'm on day 3 of the pink pills, I have taken 2 pregnancy test and am not pregnant, but am worried to have intercourse. We have been using condoms just in case but it would be nicer to not worry about it if I don't need to.

bsapp:
I am on Lutera and have been for 3 months. I really like it. I started taking the pill the first day of my period (which was a Tuesday). I find that it takes a couple days for your body to register the lack of hormones (when you're on the placebo pills) so I always end up starting my period on day 4 of the pink pills. I also continue to be sexually active up (without a condom!) until I begin my period and never have a problem.

I believe the pill prevents you from ovulating and your period you get when you're on the pill is simply lining of your uterus. As long as you haven't missed any pills you should be fine. If you're really concerned though contact your doctor, they will know better Smile
