Q: Heavy Bleeding Along With Stomach Cramping

I am trying to get pregnant for the second time. My first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage at 13 weeks.
I did get some early warning signs with my first pregnancy such as stomach cramps and spotting which progressively worsened and resulted in a miscarriage. At the time I didn’t think it was anything to be worried about, as my doctor had told me that spotting and cramping was most usual in the first trimester. That was 6 years ago and now I have finally got the courage to try again. I recently had sex with my partner 4 days ago and for the past 2 days I have just started bleeding along with stomach cramping. The bleeding was continuous for one whole night and still today. My stomach feels as though it is swollen along with sharp period pain symptoms. I know it is to early to tell if I am pregnant, but could I possibly having an early miscarriage. I only had my period about 10-13 days ago therefore I don’t understand why I am bleeding again. Has this ever happend to anyone, please let me know. :(

It is possible that you are just having irregular periods, now that you are not on birth control. Alot of women experience more painful periods after coming off birth control.

If you just had your period about 10-13 days ago more than likely you woulodnt of even ovulated yet, therefore it would of been to soon to be pregnant already and be having a misscariage. You could take a pregnancy test just to be sure but more than likely you are just having a nother period, which happens alot.

Dont worry I am sure you will be fine. Good luck to you!!

Thanks Lilypad
Thanks lily pad for your response.
I’m just a bit concerned; it doesn’t feel like a regular period. My periods generally come at the same time each month. I recently had a pap smear, which came back fine.
I also haven’t been on any contraceptives either because they make me feel nauseas. Just using condoms.

I’m dumbfounded!

Maybe I did have a very early miscarriage because believe me it’s not normal to be running off to the toilet every 2hours. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night because of the cramping, I find it so uncomfortable. Hopefully it will clear up in the next few days.

Thanks

If you really are that concerned maybe you should call your doctor, I am sure they would have a way of telling if its a misscariage.
