asked by: DoctorQuestion on January 31st, 2006
I have been ED for 2 years. I was mostly anorexic at first i guess and it evolved into bulimia while I tried to hide it all from my family. Is it to late for my health? If by some miricle I could escape this conditon might my body recover from what I have done to it?

According to my calculation and your data you are around 71kg (weight) and 180cm (height). According to your age, sex and height and Demole’s formula:

Ideal weight = (height-100)-(height-150)/2,5 (age-20)/4

your ideal weight should be around 68kg and you are 71kg. My calculations show that your anorexia/bulimia has not damaged your body irrevocably yet. To get help immediatiely, you can talk to a trusted adult who can help you seek medical treatment. There are treatment programs where you can learn about your illness and recover.
