The skin on the thumb and first 2 fingers of my right hand are peeling. It seems to be worse when the skin has been washed. Now, the symptems seem to be mirrored in my left hand. Its very unsightly and creams (moisturising) don't seem to help. I'm going to the doctor next week but wondered if anyone knows what this is caused by, eczema or a fungal condition? I seem to be quite susceptible to athlete's foot and at the moment take an acetic acid steroid spray for my ears - very itchy, especially round the outer edge and painful the more they dry out and peel.
The ear problem has only existed for 3 years, but the hand problem has only been around for about 3 months! Is it possible this is related to a fungus that spreads?
Thanks p mcshane
