Q: Please Help - Plan B

I need some help regarding a situation i'm experiencing. I had my normal period started on dec 30th/05 and ended on jan 3rd/06. On jan 7th/05, me and my boyfriend had an accident and an hour later I took plan b (morning after pill - an hour later).

A week later on jan 13th, I got some bleeding which felt like my period, but it was a bit heavier. It lasted for two days and went away. It has now been 27 days since my original period ended and 23 days since I took plan b --- and still no period, which is totally freaking me out. I have no idea how long it's going to take until I get my period. I took 2 pregnancy tests recently - both negative.

If anyone could provide any advice whatsoever, it would be so greatly appreciated. Thank-you so much!!

Have your doctor take a blood test....... That will solve it!

I don't really know how effective the morning after pill really is and nothing is guaranteed, so I would definitely have a blood test taken. Can you go to your family doctor?

...
My mom's my family doctor... Therefore... I'm completly speechless... I can't go talk to her since I can't tell her what happened. I'm really hoping this will work out by itself, but the stress it's causing... I have no words to describe it....

Why don't you just go to a walk-in clinic? I also think you need a new family doctor

The morning-after pill has, I think, an 80-90 percent chance of working. Also, normally, you would get your period 2-3 weeks after taking it, but since it's nothing but a huge dose of birth control, its effects are probably different for all women, just as is birth control.

You took it very early, which is good - it could be stress or the pill messing up your cycle. However, if you're very worried, you can see if there are any walk-in clinics in your area and get a blood test done.

The morning after pill is meant to clean out the uterus and cause you to bleed which u did so your not pregnant and u should have regular period in the next week or so. If not dont stress any type of medication can mess up your cycle specially morning after pill. Dont worry

a friend of mine had to take this pill because the condom broke and it didn't work, even though she bled.

I don't want to scare you michelle, get a blood test just to be sure!

I am in the healthcare field, and it is unethical for a family member to treat you, in all honesty..
Please consider going to planned parenthood, no parental consent is needed. Get a new family doc :)

Me Too! Me Too!
I am having the exact same thing happen.
I took levonelle, it's a british birth control pill.
-2-3 days of spotting
-period 11 days late
-3 negative pregnancy tests, 1 done by clinic.

If you find anything out, please let me know. :d
