I go to my gyn every last, last visit was sept. And everything was fine. I went in a few weeks ago b/c i'm pregnant and she did a pap along with blood work.

She told my she found atypical precancerous cells. Has anyone had this before?!?!?! Please tell me what happened to you, if you have.

I did lots of research about this and found out that 70% of women get this. These cells can show up during puberty or first pregnancy (it's my first preg.). I go for a coloscopy feb. 9th - I hope to g-d that everything will come out negative!

I know i'm supposed to be so excited to be pregnant, which I am, but this other stuff has taken over my mind. Any advice from anyone?!?!?

Thank you!!!

My mom just had this a few months ago. She is in her 50's but her pap had the same atypical precancerous cells. They did a colposcopy and took a small biopsy of the tissue. She then went back and they did cryocauterization which is a procedure where the areas with the atypical cells are frozen and killed. She goes back in a couple of months for another pap to be sure the cryocauterization did its job. She was very scared and nervous too. A lady that I work with also had this done and has not had any abnormal paps since and it has been several years. Believe it or not, an abnormal pap is very common and in most cases is nothing serious. But it's a good thing to get checked out. Good luck with your colposcopy and congrats on your pregnancy! You'll be fine!
