I know all throughout pregnancy you have a whitish discharge... If it is coming out brownish or reddish, does that mean I lost my mucus plug? I'm not having any major cramping or anything so i'm not sure what it is..

How far along are you? I don't recall losing my mucus plug, but it's my understanding that it's different than just your regular run of the mill discharge. You could just be spotting. Or it could be your mucus plug... I'm not sure. It's not gross, though. :)

Then it's more than likely not your mucus plug. You really could just be spotting. It happens. If you're concerned I would call the doc just to be safe.

More than likely your cervix is starting to thin out, preparing for childbirth. The proverbial mucous plug can come out all at once, or a little bit at a time. It looks like snot, and can be tinged with blood at times.

At 34 weeks along you are probably already seeing your doctor every two weeks. If there is not a lot of blood your doctor will probably tell you to just keep an eye on it. If you are overly worried call your doctor to discuss the blood. I wouldn't be surprised if at your next visit he/she tells you that your cevix is thinning/starting to dialate. The process can take several weeks.
