Hi Kym21000

Thanks for maiking me feel like I am not crazy. I know other people have this feeling and it is horrible.I called my dr today and she called me back and suggested a xanax. That really annoyed me! I am not depressed or stresed. I am uncomfortably dizzy. I have an appt to see her but am not hopefully. Am going to ask for an MRI. Have beed treated for trigemol neuralga a few years ago and am wondering if that could be part of it.Also have been told that I have prolonged rebound migraines. It's a shame that we have to try to diagnose ourselves, Dr's just think we are depressed. Please if anyone has any suggestions on how to ease this foggy feeling let me know. Good Luck. I really hope you feel better soon.

Hey rosegirl,

Argh i know what you mean, they all seemed to think it has somthing to do with depression and alot of the time its far from that !! If your not on the floor dying... they just seem to think ah its nothing, i would love to seem them cope with having it! Yeah defo ask for the MRI scan and ask them to do a FULL blood count. Good luck sweetheart and dont give up, keep pestering them untill you get some where!! Hi,

I have developed the exact same condition over the past 18 months or so, and because it was originally just a mild fizzyness, I put it down to my couple of double esspresos i had each morning. Over the last few months, I noticed that it had got worse, and whilst not in the category of a headache, it was uncomfortable and making me quite anxious. 3 weeks ago, went to the doctors and he diagnosed "Migrainous Neuralgia"(mild migrain). I am a fit 48 year old and had very rarely suffered from headcahes so could not understand why this condition had developed. Somebody at work then pointed out the effect "Aspartame" can have on you brain. I am now into the third week of no diet drinks whatsoever, or anything else containing sweetners. I have been drinking water and natural fruit juices and am taking a multivitamin per day. Whilst not totally gone, I have certainly experienced a marked improvenment. I did read that Aspartame can take up to 60 days to get out of your system, so I am hopeful of further improvements.

Hope this will help someone else out there.

Big Chillo

Daily headaches with fuzzy/dizziness
I suffer from daily headaches since October and they cannot find out why. The last couple of months I have had the dizzy/fuzzy feeling - almost like blacking out at times. Some times a quick flash or movement brings the feeling on stronger. I just want to role my eyes up and pass out. I've had alot of test done and they have absolutly no answers for me. Need help. Don't know how long I can live like this.

This is the first time I have followed a line of posts that reflect the feelings I have. I describe my self as having a restriction around the back of my neck that reaches up to the back of my head and above my hairline seems to gently throb, my head/scalp seems to flush with a tingling sensation on or below the surface, my head feels like it is swimming and things a re in slow motion, mild headache, dizzines, like hangover more annoyance at prolonged conditions. Also feels like eyestrain increases the sensations. I started this recently in 09 spring time, I am 45 yr old male, been physical all my days working outside in all weathers, is it arthritis linked? Just wish it would go....

Are vitamins free of side-effects?
This is now three months later and I have some positive news, mixed together with a warning that you may struggle to believe.
I have stuck to my discipline of not drinking or eating anything with aspartame in it. This has meant most "0 fat", "no added sugar" or any "diet" products.
What was an unpleasant burning fizzy fuzzy feeling, has slowly improved to what is now a very mild and bearable slight fizz, a few times a day.
The warning!
I had since June, been taking at least one high strength, multivitamin per day, which I took in the belief that they were assisting the detox. About a month ago, I noticed a pounding and tightness in my head that was seriously affecting my sleep. I went back to the doctors and they found that my blood pressure and pulse rate had shot up. But, they just did not believe that there was a physical problem and three weeks ago, gave me amitriptyline which is a mild anti-depressant, which is known to help with headaches. Whilst it did give me back some sleep, it did nothing for the blood pressure problem. I asked for further investigations and they said that under NHS, I would have to wait 3-4 months!
I was forced to go private and am awaiting a CT scan which should be done within a week or so.
A week ago, I stopped the vitamins, and the amatriptyline and lo and behold within two days, the blood pressure and tightening within the head showed a marked improvement, giving me back normal sleep without any foreign substances in my body.
I will continue to keep you posted on progress, in the hope that it may assists somebody else out there.

Dizzy, Fuzzy, Lightheaded feeling
I am so glad to see others are having this problem also and to know now that I am not going crazy. I have had this feeling of light headedness, foggy-dizzy feeling for at least 5 years or so and all doctors tell me it is depression, which I can bring myself to believe. I had thyroid cancer 6 yrs ago and had a total thyroidectomy and haven't felt good since. I have called my Endocrinologist many times about this and my TSH levels, but he always tells me that is not what the problem is. I need some relief from this feeling before it does drive be insane. Can anyone give me some advice what else I can do?
