Normal Amount Days For Woman's Period to Last? Posted: 01-27-06 21:22pm
Like how long is a normal period suppose
to last, how many days? If it last longer
than certain amount days is it not healthy
or a concern?

Normal is 4-7 days, although those just
starting thier period can have irregular
patterns for a long time.
If you bleed for over a week (not just
occasional spotting), you should go in to
the doctor.

There really is no such thing as a
"normal" length for a period. Every
woman is different. When I first started
my period, it only lasted 3-5 days. Now
i'm almost 25, and i'm on my period right
now... For the 18th day. Yes, I have a
miserable existence!!
Like I said. Everyone's different. The
question is what's normal *for you*

I just found out that a cyst on your
ovaries can make your cycle last longer
than normal. For most women their cycles
don't last more than seven days.
Of course certain things affect how long
your cycle will last like diet,
medication, excersise, stress and so
forth. If you suspect its a cyst you can
go to the doctor to get it confirmed, the
cyst will go away on its own even if you
don't go see the doctor.
