Posted: 01-27-06 21:12pm

Im so excited. I just found out, that already at 36 weeks im 1cm dilated, and my doctor could feel my little boy's head. She said it was really low. Does anyone had the same ,and how soon did you go into labor??

Im due on 21st of february.I also having bh contractions, but very irregular and also abdominal cramping.Sometimes I feel very sharp pain in my vagina, almost like pinching with sharp obeject.
It will be great if there is anyone that could help me. We are very excited.

I really hope labor is fast and easy for ya. It's always great when you hear these things from a doctor, I don't want discourage you but I was told on my due date with my first(june 19) that I was 1 cm dilated and 60% efaced but I didn't go into labor for another 15 days. They said it would be very soon and very quick........ liars!!!

Considering you are 36 weeks, it wouldn't be too bad to wait a few more weeks :)

good luck girl!

There's no way to tell when you'll go into active labor. But you're only 36 weeks, so I wouldn't get too excited. You want that baby in there as long as possible so it's as health as possible!! Good luck!
I know it's hard not to be anxious. :)

Well at 36 weeks I was 2cm dialated and 90%efaced, my son was head down and I had to be induced at 39 and half weeks (the pelvic pressure was killing me, I could hardly walk). It just depends everyone is different. 37 weeks is full term, so another week would probably help develop the baby's lungs. Good luck!

Thank you ladies, all your responses are really helpful. It is really hard not to get excited when you wait for your precious little one for so long, and then last weeks seem like forever. But thank you so much.
