I fear that I will have diabetes. I am
very thin, don't exercise too much, eat
whatever I want, and have no family
history of diabetes. But I still fear the
disease. What can I do to prevent it?
Imagine having to take shots everyday.

Its Not That Bad - I've Had Diabetes 47 Yr Posted: 03-04-06 22:43pm
Hi - i'm bill
i was so scared of shots when I was little
- you can't imagine.
Then at 12 - I got diabetes 1 - I wished I
could die.
But I survived - and when regulated I got
healthy.
.
You asked what you could eat or do to stay
away from
diabetes. I (suggest) minimizing wheat
products.
It triggers high blood sugar, which then
pushes your
pancreas more than normal.
.
Don't eat meals (or snacks) with lots of
carbs.
And drink water every 2-3 hours so you can
dilute
hi-carb food, and protect your kidneys.
.
Exercise is good - it speeds up metabolism
- which
keeps your circulation in good shape.
.
I suggest to other people concerned about
health issues
to read - eat right 4 your blood type
read the dozens of reviews on amazon.Com
.
Dairy is another food to minimize too.
Excellent foods to eat are:
prunes, spinach, (a few) almonds &
walnuts daily,
brocili, and small salmon steak once /
week.
Stay away from coffee, sodas & diet
drinks
(they dehidrate you). Good luck,
