Pregnancy Q&A Answer A292
Pregnancy test results are valid if the test is taken no less than 10 days after ovulation OR not more than 5 days before the starting date of an expected period. According to this criteria, your pregnancy test results are valid. Because they are negative... YOU ARE NOT PREGNANT. Your period is late because of another reason(s), probably related to hormonal disturbances. Ovarian cysts can cause such hormonal disturbances. Go to your gynecologist for an ultrasound examination and to consult with the doctor about the best course of treatment.
