I Got Off the Patch 2 Mo Ago And I Am Late. Am I Pregnant?!

I have been on the birth control patch for
2 months, and my husband and I have not
been usiong protection. My first period
was irregular, but I have gone 36 days
since my last period (first day was dec
22nd). I have been bloated, had very
tender breats and nipples(with tiny bumps
that I just noticed), tired, and just
today I have had slight cramps. I had a
tiny bit of blood this afternoon, but
thats about it. Could I be pregnant, or
is this just becuase I got off the patch 2
months ago?

Im not sure, but those tiny bumps that u
are noticing. Are they white or skin
colored?

Skin colored.. I am just confused becuase
I have syptoms of being pregnant, but very
light cramping in my lower abdomen and
light pink spotting.. I am not getting my
hopes up because I heard that patch can
cause your body to be "off" for quite a
while.

That is true too. Some ppl mistake their
bc side effects to be pregnancy. But just
to be on the safe and peace of mind side,
I would suggest getting a sensitive hpt.
I hear the cheapdollar store brand are
pretty good, and as well as ept. Or u can
schedule an appt. With ur dr and get a
blood test done. Do u want to be
pregnant? Or is that why ur on bc?
(maybe a dumb question)

Thanks for the advice. We would like to
be pregnant soon, and that is why I
stopped taking the patch at the end of
november. I guess I should take a test
but I dont want to be dissapointed. :(

might be shocked!!!! But then again if
its negative, :cry: , you can always look
on the bright side b/c more love making
will be in progress

Not to get your hopes up or anything...
Because everyone is different, obviously
... But I also was on the patch for a
couple months (i think 2, just like you).
I stopped using it because I was reading
about how it contains x amount more
hormones than the pill and other types of
birth control and that there was a greater
concern for blood clots.
Anyway, I stopped using it either in
october or november, and I had my period
at the end of november. I did not have my
period in december or any time this month,
and I found out thursday that i'm
pregnant.
I have no idea if getting off the patch
had anything to do with it or if god just
decided it was time, but there you go.

Congratulations!!! That is wonderful news
and very encouraging! Did you have the
symptoms that I have before you found out?
I should just go and take a test, but I
am nervous. Btw.... My very light
spotting has stopped...

Thank you. :) it wasn't planned, and i'm
more than a little nervous and overwhelmed
at the moment, but it's exciting.
Especially because my sister-in-law is
also pregnant and not too far along (they
just found out they're having a girl), so
we kind of get to go through it together.
I still have to tell my folks, though,
which is the scary part right now.
Anyway, I have been bloated and have had a
lot of tenderness in my breasts..
Especially my nipples... And a little
cramping earlier this month. I have not
had any spotting.

That is wonderful! I am going to run out
and get a test today I think... Good luck
telling your parents. My mom and dad
would be thru the roof excited, so I dont
want to tell them until I am sure!

It can take up to 3 weeks past missed
period to show positive on pregnancy urine

What birthcontrol does is trick the body
as much as it can to belive its pregnant
therefore you cant get pregnant while your
body already thinks it is. So it is
possible to get alot of pregnancy symptoms
while you actually are just experiencing
your birthcontrol. Take a hpt if u are
worried.
