The easiest time to get pregnant is the week after you period. So, if you got pregnant right after your period, its kind of a pain in the but because your going to have to wait untill next time your suppose to get your period. Or do what I did, go to your doctor, get a blood test done and they can tell very early. I found out when I was about a week or 2. Is this something that you want? Are you and your boyfriend allright with having a baby? Even since you have been on birth control for 5 years, its only stays in your system for a week. Hope all goes your way.

i would wait 10 days after your expected period to take a urine test. I'm 4 1/2 days late and very different cramping, and i have to wait 5 1/2 more days to take another test. I don't like the waiting game. My doctor only offers a urine test and not a blood test, do you have any answers maybe for me?

you should test once you miss your period. So right now you are a little overdue. but the urine/blood test wil both tell you whether or not you are pregnant. They both measure the HCG hormone. So you can take either one. I took a urine test to confirm I was pregnant and then made the appoitment with the doctor.

Use your first morning urine and the results should be pretty accurate. If it is negative, wait a few more days and test again if your period does not show up.

There is no need for a blood test during pregnancy unless, for some odd reason, your body doesn't produce enough HCG to be caught on the urine test. That is very, very, very rare.
