Pain accompanied with tenderness and swelling is often due to some kind of inflammation (mastitis) but a diagnosis has to be confirmed by a specialist via physical examination (palpation). You will most likely be required to take a mammography or an ultrasound examination to exclude fibrocystic displasia or tumor. You can first visit your family doctor and then see a specialist by referral.
