you can't be excommunicated from the catholic church because you are homosexual. What a load of .B.S. Eiri in my parish we even have a gay ministry, run by and made for gays and lesbians.

i'm just saying what happened to a real person. What are they, all abstinant? They can never have sex, according to what you've said, or they'll be kicked out.

Anything else about the rest of what I wrote?

i don't think they are abstinent but to be honest with you I am personally curious to know more details how that ministry works. It's ministry of support and welcome to the faith community. Nobody is kicked from the church eiri, people abandon the church themselves. The church is always open to receive whoever comes no matter what they had done.

well someone was excommunicated. My friend's name isn't "nobody". That's not really the point though... This isn't about religion, it's about abortion!

well, because I very much love my boyfriend. If he asked me to marry him right now, I would say yes; I am at that point in my relationship with him. He is pro-choice as well. My mother is pro-life for herself, and very reluctantly pro-choice for others. She has said that if I ever get pregnant she would not want me to abort because she was basically forced to do so when she was only 20 years old, by my grandmother. She deeply regrets the desicion, and would not want me to go through the same potential emotional pain. She says that she would also not want me to give it up for adoption because she couldn't stand to see the child being given away; so she would want to adopt it. That, I feel, is very unfair to her. She's in her late forties, and she's already raised two kids; she does not need to be caring for her grandchild! As for my father, he is very pro-choice.

I am only 21, I am in college, and I am not ready for a child. If I became pregnant, I would have deep talks with all of these important people. The desicion would in the end be mine, but their feelings would mean a lot to me. If my boyfriend was for some reason slightly against me aborting our child, and was willing to marry me and help raise it, then I would be willing do consider doing so, because we could make it, together.

There are so many things that would factor into it, that I can't sit her and say "i would abort my unwanted baby". I would want to find the best solution for all involved; and I wouldn't want to loose my mother's loe over it. But if she was the only one against it, and my boyfriend and my father were willing to help me get the abortion, and I wanted it, then i'd go through with it.

I also think that if I did become pregnant, whether or not I abort i'd want to marry my boyfriend. It would just seem like the right time to do so, just in case it happens again I won't have as much of a problem keeping it.

It is a potntial life; its potential giggling, red-headed face does occour to me. Our children would be beautiful, all with long noses, pale skin, freckles, and vibrant red hair. Poster children for skin cancer! I'd always soak them in suntan lotion xd like i've had to do to myself since day one. So, for me, it would be a hard desicon, weighing the current situation at the time, and all of the factors.

oh well eiri I needed more time to get to this one. I'm having a spammer on my website now that is making me work on my site.

Eiri that is nice to hear you have a supportive mom. I commend you in the sense that you have evaluated the possibilities of a pregnancy, since that is a possibility for anyone who have a sexual relationship with someone. I see you from a different perspective because when I was your age in college the idea of having sex with a man did not crossed my mind. I was a total saint back then 0:). I was terrified of being pregnant with reason. In fact I was a virgin until my now 30's. Talk about strong will. And let me tell you that I came to wonder if I had been stupid for waiting that long when I receive the news from my gyn that I did contracted a std from my very first attempt. Hpv-cin I and now I have to get pap smears more than once a year for who knows how many years if not surgery. I'm not bothered by it because i'm older but I tell you I wouldn't have liked to deal with this from your age. I really can't understand why it is so hard to wait. I am not saying any of this in a debate way, this is just a friendly opinion. :) I sincerely hope you do marry this man because a breakup after you have had sex makes it a lot worse. How long you being together with him? Are you sure he is the one?

That was cute to hear you say about how your possible children will look like. I don't think you would ever consider abortion after reading that. Don't worry about your mom, heck my parents are in the 60's and for sure they will be my source for child care services. I don't know how my children would look like with my current bf. My bf is red haired. But his brother is blond and his sister is brunette. Since i'm of strong brunette side my guess is that the children would be of pale skin and brown hair but who knows! :)

i think i'm done debating with you eiri. You were a good debator and i'm glad that I was able to share with you my christian views and thoughts on abortion. Greetings from raleigh ;-)

sorry to hear about the spammer! I hate that kind of stuff.

I've been with my boyfriend going on two years in april... And it doesn't even feel like that long! I really do feel that he is a good match for me (not sure if I believe in "the one" theory), and i'm so grateful I found him so soon.

I was really "pure" in middle school and even highschool; I thought that I would never have sex until marriage; but with my current boyfriend; it was just so perfect and felt right. He's really only the second serious boyfriend i've ever had.
