Swollen Tonsils/ear Pain/rash On Neck Posted: 01-25-06 15:10pm
Since november I have been experiancing
symptoms similar to strep but my throat is
not so much sore, its swollen. I went to
my doctor and he diagnosed it as
tonsilitis and put me on an antibiotic.
It came back two weeks later and I went
back to the doctor just to receive the
same diagnoses and another antibiotic.
Since then the white spots have gone away
but my tonsils have remained swollen. I
have naturally large tonsils as it is and
now they are even bigger. Now, ive
noticed I have bumps on the back of my
tongue near my tonsils, but they do not
hurt or pus. It also seems as if I have a
bump on the back of my right tonsil. It
is somewhat hard to see since it is the
back of it and all. Along with all that,
ihave a slight rash on both sides of my
neck. They look like hives but dont hurt
or itch, but may have a connection with my
throat issues. There is now also a
stretchy, thin layer or skin slightly
covering my tonsils and I am wondering
what that is.
I went to a doctor for oral std testing,
but have not received results yet. I dont
think it is an oral std but I dont know
what this could be. If anyone knows,
please help me! Im super worried! Thank
you
