how are you doing?? He is an obgyn--i believe. I dont think he is a specialist--unless in the fact that he specializes in "high risk" pregnancy. Actually I am 32 weeks today. I am suppose to see this new .Dr this up coming week if I can get in.

Thats really great to here, how are you doing right now? Any more bad pain, or the babies settled down some?

To the girl with pcos who thinks she can't get pregnant.... I have pcos and I gave birth to a healthy baby boy 7 months ago with no medical intervention. I was so shocked when I got pregnant. I was told that I couldn't have any children either. Doctors don't always know what god has in store for us. And.... I just found out that I am currently 8 weeks pregnant again!!!! I am 39 years old. My husband is 46. Nothing is impossible!!!!

I didnt get an appt for this week, I knew I shoulda called last week for it. But I do have appt for next wednesday. I will let everyone know as soon as I can.

Hi! I've been following along unbiased in this and thought i'd see if there were any other conditions that can cause someone's belly to swell. I really hope that the end result will be that you are pregnant and that you and your baby/babies have a healthy delivery (by whatever means is necessary). I found a site that had links to other possible causes for distension (swollen belly)...As it appears that your belly has swollen over a period of time. Do you know how much weight you have gained? It might be a crucial part of determining the problem.

If I were you...At this point...Get yourself to the emergency room a.S.A.P and go in only explaining your symptoms (not what you believe is causing them) so they can do unbiased tests. Mention that you feel that you may have an ectopic pregnancy...But that you are not sure. I think the number one problem you are facing right now is what you've obviously seen over and over...Very few people actually believe you when you say ".God has done this for me". A lot of doctors are like scientists...They need to see to believe...They need science and facts. The moment you mention that .God has given you this miracle (baby)...Is the moment they classify you as mentally unstable and start treating you that way (unfair...But very true). I used to study the bible a lot when I was younger (read almost front to back when I was a teenager)...If there's one thing I learned...Your relationship with .God is your own...Everyone's different. He will not care if you can't make other's believe...What's truly important is that you believe in the experiences that he has offered to you. Let that be your comfort. With that in mind go to the doctor with only facts and physical symptoms in mind so that thorough diagnosis can be done.

I really hope you take my advice...God will not be upset with you if you seek help and not mention his name or his 'miracle'.
Despite all who've posted in an effort to discredit you...I feel that there is likely a physical medical problem causing you all of this discomfort. I can't imagine that you could manifest or create this kind of severe pain on a psychological level.

Please, please seek emergency medical attention as soon as possible. If the pain and discomfort is that severe (your hubby even joked about doing surgery himself to help end your suffering)...And you really love and want this potential baby...Then do the right thing and see an emergency physician...They can do tests right then and there at the hospital. Don't wait until it's too late. If this is an ectopic pregnancy you and your baby could be at risk of death.


Please keep us posted! I'm sure i'm not the only one who's been following your story and anxiously waiting for updates.

I dont know of anyone who has pcos!! Honestly I hadnt even heared of it till I was diagnosed!!

Hi there! Not everyone here is here to judge joanna, their have been alot of us here that have tried to help her but she has turned her backs on us so if she is pregnant that is great, she has been to the er and they said that she is not preg., yes, as a nurse I too believe that she needs help if she did have a hysterectomy, removing the uterus plus she has back problems from a prior incident and is a diabetic, we can only lead a horse to water but we cannot make them drink. It is her choice and hers alone and she will say that she will leave it up to the man above and that she does have a Dr. Appt. I just hope that this dr will help her either way! Please do not take me wrong as I am not judging joanna, just want to help just like others do, I do hope that they take a toxic report with her liver and all. I too believe that anything is possible but she should have answers by now.

A couple weeks ago, I saw a program on tlc called, "pregnant for 40 years" where a woman had gotten pregnant 40 years ago but failed to deliver her baby and instead, the baby (obviously) died inside her. The surprising thing is, the baby never ejected itself from the mother's body, but instead the mother's body built a cancer-like wall around the dead fetus and protect this "intruder" from harming the mother's body. This is possible because the baby was developed outside the uterin wall and attached itself to the organs and developed for 7 months. However, doctors were able to diagnose her as pregnant 40 years ago. Granted this was in indonesia where medical science is just a bit behind. In the same program, it illustrated a woman in england who carried twins. Both developed normally in the uterus. However, at 4 months, the ultrasound-tech found a 3rd fetus near the ribcage of the mother, this fetus was devloping outside the uterin wall. With a little help of miracle, the baby devloped perfectly for 7 months also, but of course had to be born through c-section. Though this miracle baby has little problems with his legs (due to the unusual environment that it was devloped) he is a healthy little boy.
My point is that:
a) miracles do happen and if ur baby is developing outside the uterus, there are chances that it will be healthy. So best of luck to you if it is the case.
B) chances of a ultrasound-tech no noticing a fetus inside your body past 4 months is a bit obsurd. (even 40 years ago in indonesia)
c) we are constantly still learning about the complexity of the human body and the miracles that we can perform under the most horrible conditions. You never know, maybe i'll see the story of "fatfamily" on tlc one day.

Last but not least:
there has even been a case documented where an extremely overweigh woman who didn't know she was pregnant until the day she went into the e-room for stomach cramps and found out she was preggy and delivered the same day. But once again with a quick examination, the docs figured out that she was preggy...

Well...I'm very glad to hear that you've looked at the situation from all angles. I just hope you can get your doctor(s) to take you seriously. I'm sure you'll know better than anyone else when the situation becomes dangerous. Let me know when you see the doc next. I'd love to hear that they'll be helping you have these babies soon! I honestly cant belive that people are still posting in the one thing.... C'mon guys its gone on long enough. Just leave it alone. I mean seriously do any of you have any thing else to do then sit here and worry about someone you think is full of it. If she is so be it. Let her do what she wants its honestly not hurting anyone. Ive given my outlook on this and I do wish the best for fat family and everything she does threw. But the finger pointing and the name calling and all that is a health forum.

That's the way that .I had started to feel, so .I had left it alone, really .I feel that, whatever is going with her is her business. I am not going to let someone belittle me just because they have a different opinion than .I do. I am not going to be made a target for anyone.
