Back pain symptoms may seem obvious. But do you know when symptoms of back pain are more serious or when to see a doctor? Learn what action to take & when...
Ok, just have a question... I've gone to a chiropractor about 2 years now. Noticed one day my neck was real stiff and kinda achy so I started. I was kinda working out more than I normally have so maybe that had something to do with it. Anyway, i'd go in for an adjustment every 2-3 months. A few months ago I moved to colorado and have been going about every 2-3 weeks 'cuz my back gets achy and "kinked up" (my name for it). And I don't understand why it's more now than before. The only thing that's different is I haven't run or worked out in the past 3-4 months. I haven't had any weird back injuries... I'm healthy. So my question is how can I "wean" myself from the chiropractor (nothing wrong with him.. Love him! He's great!) so I can save money and not be dependent on him. I don't like that!! I'm a healthy person and don't understand the whole "achy back" deal! Is there something I can do?? Help! :(

thanks so much!!

Back Pain
Hi there,

for starters, have you been to a physician to have your back x-rayed? Have you been given any info. From an actual doctor?

I suspect there is a reason your back is feeling "kinked up" and that could be why your pain is relieved for only a short period of time. If you have a problem with your spine, all that adjusting can make it worse.

I am not a doctor but that is what I would tell you to do............
