Help.
Posted: 01-25-06 13:39pm

Here is my story. My last period was december 1st. Todays date is january 25th. About two weeks of my missed period I took an ept and it was positive. The next morning just to make sure I took another one and it too was positive. Today I went to the bathroom and noticed a bit of brown in my discharge....Im kinda of scared. This would be my first child so I really dont know what to look for. Is this normal. It wasnt much. Just a hint of brown...If anyone has info please let me know asap.
Thanks
natalie

Hey there... From what I hear, it is normal to have a bit of spotting during pregnancy. It could also be implantation bleeding, where the fertilized egg is attaching itself to the uterine wall. Honestly though, don't worry about it too much. When you make your first doctor's appointment, tell him/her your concerns and see what they have to say. The only time you really should worry is if you're bleeding heavily, or if you're bleeding like you're on your period. But even then, some women have had their periods while being pregnant. Either way, I hope everything turns out ok! Congrats on being pregnant!

Hey gurl. Yeah ive had that problem 2 times while being pregnante. Once at 6 1/2 weeks and one just on monday. I recommend that you go in to at least let the dr look at you, because the dr told me "no pregnante woman bleeding any blood new or old, is normal" so at least let them look at you and test your levels. They kept me over night monitoring my blood to make sure it wasnt going to turn into red (new) blood. Because it can. Dont be to scared..Just be calm but I do think you should be checked out. Ive bled a heavy brown the first time, and I bled deep heavy red this past time, but all was still ok. Sometmies the it can be old blood from your last period just cleaning out of your body, sometimes I can be due to haveing sex and you needing to be put on pelvic rest (what happend to me). Any strain or penetration seems to make me bleed so. If I was you i'd contact your dr let them kno whats going on..And get to the er to get your blood checked out!! Thats always the best thing.
Lots of luck to you,
kryss

I thought implantation bleeding is supposed to happen earlier...Or is it supposed to be around this time?

You know, I think you're right. Implantation bleeding usually occurs before your period is due. Sorry about that!
