I have not had a diagnosis yet of ms, however have had an mri and lp, both negative. Symptoms began (obvious) one month ago. My right eye was bloodshot and I had pretty intense pressure and pain in it. All vision tests were ok. An opthomologist diagnosed me with horner's eye syndrome. After a visit to the er because of progressive right sided arm/leg weakness and difficulty w/speech and some drooling, horner's eye syndrome was dismissed as was tumors, stroke, and other urgent underlying conditions. My symptoms continue and I don't have a follow up with the neuro for 1 month. One day my arm and leg are weak and the next day my eye is hurting and the right sided weakness isn't as pronounced. Today the roof of my mouth is tingling and swallowing seems peculiar. Does anyone else have experience with this sensation of swallowing and am I at risk for choking? Or throat closing? If this is ms...Is this a symptom as well? I am 30 yr. Old male. W/no previous medical history of anything.

I would have guessed stroke, or horners eye, but a sclerosis would have certainly been diagnosed with all those test, perhaps a visit to a cardiologist would be useful. Im pretty sure its not sclerosis but the speech problem and pain in that region concerns.. Visit a cardiologist.

normally if you have ms they would find leasions in your brain but its not proven that there is no ms if leasions are not there. I am going for my mri on friday and I have the same symptoms as you. Are you choking on liquids or just solid foods? You can google difficulty swollowing and you can find different disorders doing that. Some disorders there is no proven test to find them they can only go by symptoms. I will be praying for you.

I hope that you are now well on the road to recovery...

Had anyone ever suggest Carotid Artery Dissection as a possible cause?
