About 4 times a year, for the last year and a half, I get a sore throat that lasts about 5 days. I have these red bumps (about 0.5 mm in diameter), on the back wall of my throat, and at the very very back of my tongue. This sore throat doesn't feel like a cold-type sore throat, but it feels more like a muscular sore throat. Now these bumps, I don't think ever go away, but its every couple months they will start to hurt again. By "muscular sore throat" I mean its hard to swallow, but not in a stingy type way. They aren't perfectly circular, and there is no white, yellow, or brown dis-coloration anywhere. I went to the doctor the other day, and they did a swab for std's (because I gave oral sex to a guy about a year ago, but it was a drunken decision, and I no longer have contact with him). At the time, it didn't look like there was anything on his penis. So anyway, they also swabbed me for all the normal things , ie. Strep throat. Now I don't get these test results back for a week, and i'm loosing massive amounts of sleep over this. Please note: I got this most recent sore throat after coming off amoxacillan for an ear infection, and i've had a cold for about 2 weeks. This sore throat thing comes back every couple months, regardless of if im healthy or not. It seems like when the sore throat comes back, like my tonsils are inflamed slightly, but after the sore throat goes away, and my tonsils are back to normal, the bumps (painless), are still there. Do I have oral gonnorhea or cancer? Do I have aids? Im freakin out here. Also, would it be possible that I have these bumps cuz of heartburn? I have about 10 that I can see at the back of the throat, and like 5 on the very very back of my tongue. There are also mini little bumps (1mm diameter, clear), that are kinda all over. The red bumps don't appear to be blister like either. The doctor I went to see had no clue what it was. I have no fevers, and I have usual back pain like i've had for years. I experience no tingling in my fingers or toes, and no rashes. This is very confusing and scary for me. If anybody has a clue what this is, please post. Thank you sooo much.

I Have Bumps On the Back of My Throat Too
Hello, I also have bumps on the back of my throat too. I went to an ENT doctor, and she said I have my tonsils inflamed, ( I never had them taken out ) and my sinuses like deep inside my nose everything is inflamed. So they gave me Rihnocort which is cortisone to make the swelling go away. im supposed to go back in January but she said they usually see these symptoms on people who are allergic to something in the environment.
I have HPV and I didnt know untill my boyfriend had some little wart like on the base of the head of his penis. Then I went to get checked and yeah I found out then. Before I even knew about it I had given him oral, so yeah this situation has me worried HPV might have been relocated to my throat. If you find any info let me know. Thanks
