I know a little girl who had all and was
treated recently by injecting cord blood
stem cells into her body! And now she is
completely treated from the illness! She
is a big reason why I saved my baby's cord
blood stem cells. Has anyone further
looked into banking?

I was thinking about the benefit of
banking my baby's cord blood for himself
mostly... However my husband said it's
probably really costly and chances are
he'll never need it... But what if he
needs it one day?.... It's kindda like
insurance in a way... But we're not just
talking money here, we're talking about
saving his life... I really don't know
what if i'm going to have it banked or
not. I guess it all comes down to $.
I would love to be able to do it, but it
is very costly...The first year is the
most because you have to have
consultations and stuff and they charge
you for that...But here in canada I was
reading it's something like 1000-2000
dollars for that first year...And then I
think it's something like 100 dollars a
month after that...So it still works out
to be over a grand each year. I just
can't afford it :( but i'm sure that it
will be one of those things I regret not
being able to do.

I looked into it when I was pregnant and
would've loved to, but it's way too
expensive. I could've never afforded it.
Now, maybe. But certainly not then!

I absolutely recommend saving your cord
blood! When I was pregnant I was
considering banking the blood and now I
don't regret doing it. It is considered
an health insurance for my family! My
mother-in-law insisted on going with cbr.
I called them and they were really nice
from answering all our questions 'til
following up with us after labor.
I hope that more people look into saving
their cord blood because so many diseases
can be treated.
