I'm seven weeks pregnant and want to know if it is normal to spot brown or bleed lightly with some (but very little) clotting? This will be my second pregnancy. I also have cramps and feel lower back pain as well. Should I worry?

Hey
Hey..Im 9 weeks pregnante and ive had problems with bleeding and spotting 2 times during this pregnancy. Both times my dr has demanded I come in to be checked because any bleeding during pregnancy isnt good, but doesnt always mean something bad is going on. Ive been fine both times with mine, but it can lead to more if it isnt checked out. So i'd advise seeing your dr next time you pass clots or actual new blood (red) instead of old blood (brown)
hope this helps.

It's said that 25% of all women experience bleeding in the 1st trimester...But it's never what they consider 'normal'. You should talk to your doctor. However...My mother had her period for two to three months during all three of her pregnancies...But carried all to full term. Also...Not to scare you...But they say 50% of those how bleed do miscarry...So it's very important to determine the 'cause of the bleeding. Hth! :)

Hi
I just went to the doctor today because I had some brown spotting off and on last weekend. He did an ultra sound and said everything was fine. I even saw the heart beating, what a glorious sight!

Get checked out, but don't freak out. My doctor said some women have brown spotting during pregnancy and some don't, as long as it is not alot of blood, like enough to fill a pad, then it''s ok. Sometimes brown spotting is just old blood that your body is trying to clean out.

Good luck!

Any clotting should be something to worry about...If it were light brown spotting (with no pink or red in it) then maybe I wouldn't be as concerned...But if there is clotting and pain associated with it..I would def. Hit up the .E.R .A.S.A.P!!!

I had dark brown, light brown, pink, bright red, watery, clots, spotting, heavy bleeding and I was scared sh!Tless, but I made it through that stage and I am currently 30 weeks, so for those of you experiencing bleeding, there is still hope, don't forget that :o)

When spotting I would suggest a Dr. Visit to eleviate any unneccessary stresses and to focus on what the actual situation is at hand.
When there is spotting without pain their is a better chance that the pregnancy will be successful.

But if there is pain aswell, there is a strong possibiliy of a miscarriage and you should go to a hospital. Preferably have someone drive you as the pain can get more intense as time goes on.

Make sure you are not on your own.
