Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) is a neurotic psychiatric disorder. GAD exhibits many types of manifestations, including symptoms that can appear to be symptoms of a real, organic disease. This doesn’t mean, however, that people with GAD can’t become truly ill. Any symptoms of illness should be first analyzed to help establish a correct diagnosis.
