44 Years Old, Ttc After a Miscarriage
Posted: 01-22-06 21:56pm

Hello, i'm a newbie here. I am 44 years old, have conceived 5 times and born 4 children. The most recent pregnancy (with my new husband) ended in a miscarriage, a year ago. My husband and I got preg easily when we tried, except now. Since the miscarriage I have felt strange sensations around my cervix during the times in my cycle when the cervix opens and closes. Has anyone else experienced this? I am doing alternative herbs/ essential oils to strengthen my uterus and still ttc.

Hi. Sorry to hear of your loss. Im not sure what you mean about strange sensations unless you mean you can feel when you are ovulating?? I usually feel a cramp that sometimes lasts up to an hour around ovulation time. This past month I didnt notice any so im not sure if I ovulated or not?

I had a misscariage too when I was almost five months pregnant in july. I dont have any children. (except for the one I lost) so I am ttc also. I am 27 years old.

I wish you the best. ***baby dust****

I'm sorry to hear about your miscarriage lilypad...It's a hard thing, and thank you for your concern and reply.
Sometimes I can feel in my ovary region when I ovulate, but it's usually a small tinge and only lasts a few minutes. The sensation I feel when the cervix changes feels more like it's in a vise, and directly on the cervical neck. I can touch it, and make the sensation less dramatic. It's not a painful feeling, just a very noticeable feeling. It was most noticeable when I first conceived, I didn't know I was pregnant and the discomfort was pretty intense. I thought at first I was having a strange bladder infection....And drank lots of cranberry juice. It didn't hurt like a bladder infection but that's all I could think of. When I found out I was pregnant, I understood it was the cervix. But I keep having these sensations every month, every time the cervix changes. I've been to a doctor they tell me everything is "normal" and who really knows what that means. It doesn't explain anything to me. My ovaries checked out fine, and i'm more regular with my cycles than i've ever been.

I think I know what you mean. For me I have only had one experience being pregnant but ever since my miscarage ( I cant spell) I think I am more aware of my body. Sometimes I feel a slight twinge down there that sortof reminds me of the first times I felt movement during pregnancy. Like a flutter kind of . Its hard to explain. Or maybe im nuts I dont know!! I wish I could help more...But if you arent in any pain and your doctor says you are fine then you probably are. Maybe your body is still healing?
