Please Help, Ill Tell You My Symptoms Posted: 01-22-06 19:40pm
Well im 16 years old and 4 weeks ago I was
on my bus and I had a panic attack.
It was all and well, but it just turned
into all these different things.
At first I had numbing of the hands,
feeling like im was gonna die, stomach
pains on the left side, negative mood,
head aches, feeling of a heart attack,
hard to breath.
But those things came and gone, and now I
have this new feeling.
Its sorta like the same feeling that I had
on my left side of my stomach, but it
moved to the right side.
I wanta no if anyone else has had the pain
go to the right side of the stomach. All
I need I confort.

Anxiety Symptoms Posted: 01-24-06 20:58pm
Anxiety can have many effects on a person.
Everyone is different and sometimes
similar. When anxious your muscles
tighten up and can cause pain and
discomfort. Myself I had stomach upset,
I would not eat, I had headaches,
dizzyness/lightheaded, chest pain,
shortness of breath, eye pain, tingling in
my arms/hands, increase heart rate... And
so on... So, after I had a really bad
spell I went to the doctor because I had
enough.
It began to ruin my life and now I am on
medication that is right for me and I am
getting better. The symptoms are gone, I
had to get glasses for the computer,
reading and driving... And now I have
dropped my ativan because I no longer need
it and I feel pretty good.
So, if this problem is bothering you and
beginning to interfere with your daily
life I reccommend seeing a doctor. But
that is my opinion. You talk with your
parents and come up with a solution
together. Talking is always a big help.
I hope this helps a little.
Take care of yourself, and know that there
are many options out there for you.
Don't be afraid to talk.

so do you prefer meds? Because my
therapist says I should get them but my
dad is fighting it because when my
grandfather took it he gave up on life.
So are the meds a really good thing to
take. I just need this crap to go away
for a few days and I think I can rely on
myself after that

what are your symptoms?
The one that everyone gets is the feeling
of dieing. You just got to remember that
you control your thoughts, and you have to
reprogram your mind to stop thinking like
that.
All I can do is tell you what my therapist
told me, but it seems like its not
helping.
The think I hate the most about it is that
it feels so real. Even if you do get the
pains when you dont think your dieing,
dont worry.
Its all in our heads in some form. My
therapist said it was hidden anger that I
keep inside of me.
I really havent felt normal since this
crap started again and I really found out
what it was. Ive had these before but I
didnt know what it was and I let it take
its toll on me.
Just keep it positive no matter what,
because surely negative thoughts dont help
it. Posivite thoughts numb its toll it
takes on you a bit.
This is from a month and a week of
experience of it. The best ive felt is
when I wake up from sleeping because my
mind isnt worrying or stressing.
Another thing that will help is to take a
nice hot shower and lay there thinking
about only the water droping for 30 mins.
Eventully it will fade out. Just deal
with it well for the time being and good
luck as well

Hello (psp) snake,
i have suffered from anxiety for about 10
years now. I seeked help this past
november. It just kept getting worse.
I tried seeing a psychologist but that did
not work so my doctor prescribed effexor
xr and let me tell you that it did not
work. My pulse was up over 130 bpm...
And rising. I thought I was going to
die. I have never felt so anxious as I
did that night. Now I am taking celexa
and propranolol for my heart rate. I
have never felt better. I was on ativan
there for a little while until the celexa
was in my system. Ativan is short
lasting and it dealt with the anxiety
attacks quickly. I am not reccommending
you start popping pills, it is whatever
works and is good for you. About your
grandfather, sometimes the pills can have
side effects on you... Like the pill I am
taking for example. It can cause your
anxiety/depression to worsen and cause
harm to yourself. But as soon as you
notice a negative effect see your doctor.
Sometimes you have to try several pills
before you find the right one for you.
I wish you luck.
Take care
