Need Advice For Dating When Being a Single Mum.
Posted: 01-22-06 06:38am

Hey all,
iam 24 and iam a single mother of a 7 month old. Iam scared about dating again as I don't want to start a relationship and have it end in a few years, as this wouldn't be fair on my daughter if I had to keep meeting new guys, this would just mess with her head and thats what I don't want, but I also want to find a man and be happy. Also her father lives interstate and he is saying he wants to come back and be with us, he has said this before and left us, so I can't trust what he says and I don't want to be with him if he is going to turn around and leave us again, but I also want him to be apart of her life so she knows who her father is, or would she be better off not knowing. Can anyone please give me some advice.
Thanxs

Well, first off... It's possible to have a relationship with her father of the platonic persuasion. You don't have to be "together" for her to know who her father is.
About dating, the last thing you want to do is bring guys in and out of her life. It's fine for you to date, but you never introduce them to your child until you know that there's somewhat of a future there. You keep them as far away from her as possible. Because as you said, that's not good for her mental stability. Share pictures and stories with the guys you date, but do not share you daughter until you've established a stable relationship that has a future.

the Solution to Your Problem

Hi jess,

read your post and I have the ulimate solution to your problem.

You can use talk trust as a medium for you to talk to another person and get to know him better before going for a date. Its help you to know him better before going for a date and belive me you will not make a mistake in chosing a right date for you.

You have to just register in www.Talktrust.Com and create a new id and they will give you the extension number and that you can give to any one for a talk and you can also talk for free, the benefit is that you will not have to give out your number to him.

I have been using talktrust quite a bit, and like it already. You can find them
on the web (just google for talktrust). By the way, it seems you can also
host your own talk-show! If you know any good speakers, lets get that going!

Happy raising your daughter!. If you need to reach me, try:
