pelvic pain/pressure/painful tailbone
Well if the pressure is a sign of soon labor i should be anytime then... I am only 32 wks but measuring almost 35 i have been having the pressure since i was about 20 wks...(i got put on bedrest at 20wks for my 3rd time this pregnancy) my tail bone has been killing me since i was about 12 wks i had a cyst rupture and i havent been the same since... i have contrations all day long!!! most of the time they are about 12 mintues apart for an hr then they go away for a half hr then they are back but not regular i know they are braxton hicks but they are really starting to hurt.. my pelvic pressure is so bad now it hurts to walk to lift my legs or to try to get out of bed or off the couch or anything... i have talked to my dr and he keeps telling me that its normal and its because the pelvis softens so much in pregnancy... im so worried that if my baby hasnt dropped yet that im not going to be able to walk at all ... some days use to be better but now it is just getting worst... i cant sleep anymore cuz it hurts so bad....
Oh another thing the last week i have been getting sick after i eat... almost every other night after i eat i get a bad stomic ache that almost puts me in tears i feel like i need to go to the bathroom but cant... i feel like i need to push!!!! anyone had this problem??/

thank you everyone... any advice would help im so sick of being in pain that i am geting more and more depressed about it... im trying to be happy but i cant when im in so much pain...

EVERY PREGNANCY IS DIFFERENT EVEN IF ITS YOUR 2ND OR 3RD!!!
But also remember every pregnancy is different with my first my labor was so erratic and not consistent at all but i was in labor. My water didnt break in fact i had been leaking amniotic fluid during the last month or so. So by the time it should of broke it didnt. My contractions would be at a 2 one min and a 8 the next it was so weird. By the time they got me into the hospital i was dilated to a 10 and fully effaced. So if your feeling pressure its best to get your advice from the doctor.. Im not saying everyone is wrong but EVERY PREGNANCY IS DIFFERENT and with my second my labor and delivery was almost by the book so its just better to be safe than sorry... Good luck and hope you all have healthy babies!

39 weeks pregnant whats going on?
I am 39weeks tomorrow and I'm suffering with spd it is so bad it brings tears to my eyes. i get so much pressure down there it takes my breath away it feels like i can feel my bones (hips/pelvis) moving outwards i keep getting lower back pains hot flushes and when iv been for a wee and wipe the tissue is shiny like iv blown my nose what is this? sometimes i get a shooting pain in my bum? and I'm always sooo tired i do get pains in my lower tummy but cant work out what they are some are painful some aren't there not regular either. iv got appointment with consultant next week caz if baby isn't out by due date they will do an early stretch and sweep caz of the pain of the spd id rather go in to labour on my own but the pain is unbearable. all the doctors i see are abit crap really they never explain anything I'm always left asking loads of questions and feel confused, they say the baby's head is down there where it should be?? what does this actually mean ? iv never been examined down there and i have discharge all the time and can be yellow/brown and sometimes white?? i feel like so many different things are going on with my body i wouldn know if i was going into labour anyway lol. Im soooo fed up now

pelvic pressure
I'm glad I found this page...it helps to know I'm not the only one experiencing and worrying about this. I'm 31 weeks and don't know if what Im feeling sometimes are contractions. My stomach will harden, but all this time I've been thinking it's the baby stretching and that the bulge I'm seeing is one of her body parts sticking out during the long stretch. The bulge will remain but not for long, maybe about a minute. I'll massage my belly lightly and it goes away. But the pressure I've been feeling a lot lower is what I'm wondering about. I personally think it's too early for me to feeling this. I can be out shopping and all of a sudden feel this sharp shooting pain in my pelvis. I can feel the pressure of what is most likely her head pushing down on me. It hurts a lot! I don't see my doctor again for another week. Though this has been happening to me for the past 2 weeks or so, I think it's time to ask about it. Maybe they can do an ultrasound to confirm the baby's position, or see how my cervix is doing. Good luck to all of you ladies!

i am 35 weeks and i went to my doctor on Monday and she tells me that every thing is alright with me its just the baby positioning himself head down so i am going to get alot of pressure down in my canookie ( vagina. i get so many braxton hicks that wont wait a minute, i have never experience any of this with my last to prengancy. it hurt for me to lift my leg to put on my socks, the lower part of my stomach hurt when im laying down and trying to turn over on my side plus i get alot of pressure in my bum bum like somebody kicked me in the tailbone, and plus it hurts when im trying to get out of my bed to go to the bathroom. im not due till december 25th 2011 is this a sign of perlabor or is my body just going through some last changes for the baby? can someone help me on this.

i am experiencing the exact same thing. My OBGYN thinks its just the baby positioning itself. I find if I walk around and do a couple squats the pain lessens in the moment. I have no idea if it means on coming labour, but it seems like a natural fit = pressure on the pelvis, baby pushing down. I would assume it adds to assisting with effacement but not necessarily dilation. I think there needs to be contractions for that.

Good luck!

PLEASE HELP!!!! I am 34 weeks with my 2nd child, my first was born almost 11 yrs ago. With my first I had no discomfrts and a mild labor, I enjoyed the whole experience. I did have her early and my water did break. For the past week or so, I have had terrible pelvic pressure and PAIN. I am not overstating when I say that I am in alot of pain. It was mainly at night but now is during the day too. I can't lift me legs or change positions without feeling the urge to cry. Walking is huge task and I have to because I need to pee every 20 minutes..I am also a full time student and Mom. Why am I feeling such pressure and pain? Is this an indicator that labor will be soon? I dont know how much longer I can take this. Talking to the dr. is not helpful...." it is normal", " are you having contractions" " 5 in an hour", " switch positions" ect, ect, I need someone who can relate---I cannot walk!--I am no drama queen, I deal with pain very well. This is an 8 if I had to rate it, 1-10!!!! HELP, HELP
