Both contraceptive pills Levlite and Ortho-Tri-Cyclen belong to the group of low-dose estrogen birth control pills. The estrogen component is the same in both: ethinyl estradiol. The difference between the two is found in the progesterone component. Levlite is composed of levonorgestrel; Ortho-Tri-Cyclen is composed of norgestimate. Both drugs are used in the same way and have the same results, side-effects and contraindications.
