!**@! happens. I am 17, loosing my hair (started @ 16). I am probably going to lose it all by the time im 20, I seriously dont think rogaine and propecia are "viable". They're drugs; a treatment not a cure. I'm generally a good looking guy, im very talented at sports, excellent in school, excellent with computers, read alot of books and generally bright. I suppose being bald is a small price to pay. Im 100000% sure we are much tougher on ourselves about loosing our hair than society is, I hope you get through this, we had a completely bald girl in our highschool and she was so sweet, had alot of friends, and seriously everyone saw past it about a week after she came. Her personality shone. It really sucks I know it must be much tougher for you because you're a girl. Good luck.

I feel all your pain. I was in 6th grade when my hair loss problem started. They said it was because of stress but they really didnt know. I went through all tests possible and they said I had propecia arriata.. So far..My hair is still thin and im 18. I got highlights so it makes it look alittle thicker but nothing has been working. Ive taken all pills you could think of and even thought of a wig or extentions but they couldnt attach anything to my hair because the hair itself was so thin. I tried shampoos and all types of rogain and nothing so I finally gave up. Everyone got used to my hair now that I am a senior .. I used to get picked on alot and I couldnt take it anymore..Thank god I have a great bf that loves me for me and says that if something comes out that could help..Hes making me do it.. Hold your head up high you'll get through it all

It's Hard to Go Through
Hi,

i wanted to say I know how hard it is to go through this. You are not the only one. I have been through the same period. I started losing hair when I was 17, and now I am 22. Mental depression, dissatisfaction with everything. You name it...

Just wanted to tell you how I have been able to stop my hair loss and start some growth. I have started using provillus it has changed my life. It is an herbal product and in one month stopped the hair loss and a little after 2 months I started to see the hair growth.

I know how you feel. I have had Alopecia since I was in grade 6 and I'm 19 years old now...I have not gotten my hair back yet and not only was it just my hair on my head. My eye brows, eye lashes and hair on arms and legs are gone completely (arms and legs are the only benifit XD)..I have tried the meds and nothing works...because of this I have become very depressed that I have gained alot of weight

I'm incomprehensibly relieved that I'm not the only teen with hair problems. Mine's not falling out, but it's more like thinning. It doesn't bother me so much as other people's reactions bother me. I hate having a conversation with someone and having them stare at my scalp as they're talking to me. I think it would be comparable to a guy staring at a girls chest while she's talking to him. I'd like to find a solution, but until I do, I'm sticking with the plan b of just shaving it all off.

BALD IS BEAUTIFUL!!

Hello
At 16 i started getting a receding hair line and a widows peak on the right side

At mid 16, 4 months from 17, I noticed it that it had stopped. I used to have my hair always buzz cut because of sports so it would dry quickly.

Now I have to have longer hair to cover the receding hair line. I am now 19 and my hair line looks the same as 2 years ago. But its been hard having to cover it and sometimes not working out. Ive taken a good look and it looks pretty horrible if you do a close up. I wish it grew back, but I have no clue why it started then stopped. I still have the same eating habbits, if anything I'm just more muscular and i eat a little better. I just don't understand how this could happen at such a young age. But seeing as I'm not the only one makes me feel better. I hope you guys find a way! I truely do!

Does anyone know about hair clinics in London? As a guy its hard to find somewhere thats also male-friendly, which is why I think I'd rather go to more of a clinic, where I can sit and speak to someone.

Try the following easy tips at home and see how effective they are in reducing hair loss!

1. Hot oil treatments: Take any natural oil - olive, coconut, canola - and heat it up so that it is warm, but not too hot. Massage it gently into your scalp. Put on a shower cap and leave it on for an hour, then shampoo your hair.
2. Natural juices: You can rub your scalp with either garlic juice, onion juice or ginger juice. Leave it on overnight and wash it thoroughly in the morning.

3. Get a head massage: Massaging your scalp for a few minutes daily will help stimulate circulation. Good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Circulation may be improved through massage by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base.

4. Antioxidants: Apply warm green tea (two bags brewed in one cup of water) on your scalp and leave this mixture on for an hour and then rinse. Green tea contains antioxidants which prevent hair loss and boost hair growth.

5. Practice meditation: Believe it or not, most of the times, the root cause for hair loss is stress and tension. Meditation can help in reducing that and restore hormonal balance.
