Right Sided Abdominal Pain...please Help
Posted: 01-21-06 02:55am

Tonight I began to have right sided abdominal pain, a bit above and a bit below the belly button, two very distinct pain points that are linear. It feels like it is quite superficial, like right on top of the abdominal muscles. It is a very obvious point of pain, I can tell right where it is and press on it. When I press on it it feels sore and bruised almost, yet slightly sharp like a pin going in. It is quite mild but it hurts more if I stretch the stomach muscles , like if I put my arms above my head and bend backwards it hurts worse. I have been constipated today...Is it just that or could it be more?

*no fever, no nausea, no wierd stools, pain and constipation only.

Tests can take up to 3 weeks after missed period to come out positive. So it is possible, right? It sounds like it "could" be ligament pains, other than that--idk. My daughter in law had those really early like 4 weeks pregnant, and she explained hers' to the same degree. Went to the hospital, and seen her baby,(her little peanut) they said it was ligament pains.

Oh I didn't know it could take that long...Yes then it is possible. The pain doesn't seem to be getting any worse so hopefully it isn't the appendix...I guess I will have to wait a little bit and see what happens with it. I also noticed that when I stretch upward or backward the tender points pull sharply, and almost feels like a slightly sharp, stinging pull going downward toward my exreme lower abdomen.

Yes, if not ligament pains, it could be appendix, I guess. Be very careful--if you think appendix, you have to see a .Dr immedietly. It is dangerous if it were to rupture. My sons ruptured like 5 minutes before he got to the hospital. But he was vomiting, could not keep anything down, and I believe his bowels were not working correctly either. Fever and severe pains. I mean bent over cant stand up pains, and this was before it ruptured.
