Q: Question About the Pill

I have been on yasmin for 7months. After my last period which was jan. 6th 2006 I stopped my pills. I checked online to see when I would ovulate if I do and it would be today (the 20th) I had unprotected sex early this morning (we are trying to have a baby) what I was wondering is , is it likely for me to get pregnant this month or would I need to wait longer?

Doctors will usually tell you that it takes about 3 months for your body to ovulate after getting off the pill. However, this isn't necessarily always true. My sister got pregnant the first month after being off the pill -- this happened with her first 2 children. She didn't get pregnant with her 3rd for a year after getting off the pill. So I wouldn't be discouraged about getting pregnant soon. You could get pregnant this month, you could get pregnant a year from now. Just keep trying. Good luck! ;-)

I have atleast three friends who got pregnant within the first week of quitting birth control. None of them were using yasmin so im not sure if that would make a difference but just giving you my two cents. Hope this helps.
