I have been on ortho tri cyclen lo for about 10 months now and I have gained 25lbs! I eat very healthy foods and I exercise regularly. In addition to my weight gain I have also had a problem with depression due to the pill. I just got back from seeing a doctor about this and she gave me ortho cyclen. I asked if it would help with weight gain and she said " your going to gain weight no matter which pill your on" I dont believe that. My question is. Has anyone else had similar problems with ortho tri cyclen lo? Also has anyone had problems with weight gain with ortho cyclen? Please help me!!! I want my old body back!

I just switched from ortho lo to aleese just yesterday. I was only on ortho lo for two months and I gained 5 pounds. I hope this new pill helps. I also suffered other side effects, so that is why I switched.
You are not alone thats for sure.

Eating healthy is great, but you really should calorie count too, like no more than 1600-1800 a day depending on exercise ect..

If you continue to have weight gain issues, perhaps an iud, which is non hormonal could help..
Yasmin is also suppsoed to be great as well.

Calorie Counting
I do calorie count and I dont go over 1800 a day. I also exercise for an hour 5 days a week and I am very active at work (heavy lifting, climbing, exc.). Plus before using birth control I had problems gaining weight. So this is a big shock for me. Before I weighed not enough and now I weigh to much! I have heard yasmin is good also but im not sure about the cost of it isnt it rather expensive? Anyone else have any imput?

I have been on ortho lo for 5 months, and I haven't had any weight gain, but I do have a lot of bloating around my period, than I did before, and my cramps have gotten horrible. I don't know if this is from the pill or what? But I really like ortho lo.

Have you considered an iud? Non hormonal, and weight gain, moodiness, ect..Would not be an issue.
