Just a quick question. My daughter is 4 months pregnant, and she has been on her feet allllllllllll day today at work. She is saying that her upper legs and tummy are blue, and she if a mess. I told her to get on the sofa with her legs elevated for awhile. Is there something I am missing?

Tell your daughter to sit on the floor with her legs out in front of her. Hold up one leg (kind of a "v" formation) and rotate her foot 5 times each way for a minute or so. Do the same to the other leg. This helps get the blood flowing a little better. Also just try to keep her feet elevated as much a possible. Something I also like to do is sit in my shower and just let the water run on my belly. It's very relaxing and if she likes the rain she'll love this idea! Hope I could help.

oh boy ~ here's a good laugh for everyone. I taught lamaze for 18 years, so this issue of blue was rather strange. But......Not seeing it, and just hearing her tell me that they are blue from her knees up,,,,,,,,,well........I was baffled. Seems santa brought her a pair of charcoal grey slacks for christmas. I even mentioned if she was wearing something navy......"no mom,,,,,,dark grey"~ so she got an early ticket to bed which she needed. Well, it is all off with a little soap................... so all is well folks~~ another panic attack from a pregnant mom mended by time and little sleep... Happy new year to all~
