Some strange/complicated things happened. The brown discharge stop /slowed down and I asked my gynea what to do next. He asked me to monitor for a couple more days and see how it goes.
Anyone knows what is it? Thanks

I just got my period today at 1pm. Very relieved but very crampy too and now I can start the 3rd cycle of clomid from tomm onwards. This time the doc has given me 100mg per day for 5 days.

Debb75,

it could be implantation bleeding like those stories we have read in this forum. There are people who get implantation bleeding. Though I have not gotten it when I first got pregnant which eventually miscarried in 2 months.

Did u ask ur doc, what he suspects or suggest it could be?

Update!
Ok, at first I thought my period was not like the normal period and it might be implantation bleeding. But today the period did come ok... So I believe I am not pregnant. My irregular cycle is normally 40 -50 days. But this time the period came on cycle day 27, which was why I was wondering if it were something else.

Bad luck, hopefully I be pregnant in march. I have started clomid 100mg per day since yesterday, 24/2/06.

Update 2
Ok to begin. Mine was similar. Intially it was just little brown discharge, I thought I was preggy. So I rang up the gynea to ask what's happening. He told me to wait for a couple more days if the discharge is still there, do a preggy test. Anyway, a day later my period came. But period only lasted 4 days and quite heavy actually with clots.

My period came on the 24 jan and have also started with clomid. I am wondering if it is ok to take clomid at night before bed time. Or must I take it in the morning for it to be effective? Can someone please share. Thanks

i just can't stand it that it takes me forever to be preggy.

Oh my gosh,
debb75,

we r seeing the doc on the same day. I'm so excited for u n me. Let's pray it works. I am see the doc on the 6 march, monday to check for ovulation n egg follicle size.

Right now, I dun have any much pain on either side of the ovaries, that seems good for me, becoz the previous cycle I had pain in the right side n true enough, the egg follicle on the right side was large n over matured.

This time things seem ok, let's hope for the best.

What did ur doc say during the check up today? What's ur status now? Did they measure the egg size?

Yes, metformin can be used to reduce miscarriage, helps in conceiving, keeping foetus in the womb, balances the hormones causing irregular periods or disorders.

I am taking metformin with clomid right now.

Update!
Ok, I am now on day11, waiting for tomm day 12 to go into the doc's clinic to do an ultrascan. This ultrascan will be done through transvaginal method, meaning doing the scan through the vagina by inserting the scan equipment which looks like a scope.

With this scan, the doc can see the ovaries and egg follicles produced due to the clomid medication taken on day2 to day6. The egg follicles should measure between 16mm to 20mm. That would be the healthy n good eggs for conceiving. Being smaller than the range means not matured yet and not good as in undeveloped eggs. Being larger than the range means over matured eggs and are too developed and might even cause pain physically.

So here I am waiting for tomm to bring me good news and that would be the first hurdle to cross over for me. The next step is to have sex during the ovulating period and the third step is to pass the urine hpt test with a positive. Finally carrying the baby to full term and delivering the healthy baby well with no complications would be the best gift anyone can give me.................

Wish me luck everyone and same luck to one and all.
Take care...

Hey gal, thank you for the moral support.

How did ur scan go? Didn't the doc tell u exactly which day u might ovulate? How long after the scan can u expect to ovulate so to better time the sex night?

Thanks in advance.

Like I said this is my 1st cycle of clomid so i'm still learning. But my doctor told me I should o saturday, sunday or monday. I've noticed the stretchy egg white discharge & my abdomin is really tender (i've heard you can get that when you are ovulating?) I don't have any luck with taking my temp. & the o tests are not showing that I am ovulating? I'm just going to bd everyday for the next week because I don't know? Maybe i'll just o late?

Day 12 Ultrascan Results!
Ok!

A big sigh! I went to the doc clinic today in the morning and the doc did an ultrascan through the transvaginal method and I saw my womb which is in good condition. Then the doc saw my right side ovary and found one good egg follicle which was 20mm, which is within the range he specified 16mm-20mm. Then on the left ovary side, he found another egg follicle which was about 15 mm which was just alittle premature but he said that I should have sex tonight (6/3/2006), wednesday (8/3/2006) and friday (10/3/2006) to have a higher chance of conceiving.

Afterwhich he also asked my husband whether he has done a fertility test, which my husband is against. But right now, he is willing to do the test after seeing me suffer so much. He feels that he has to do his part too in getting this baby. I am so glad he has changed his mindset.

But the doc said that to do the fertility test for him now, is too late. I should be concentrating in having sex and relaxing myself. If this cycle fails, then the doc suggested a sperm test for my husband. I hope that won't be necessary and that we will fall pregnant immediately. The doc also told me to increase my metformin since I am stable with the 1000mg a day pattern. On taking the metformin, I have lost some weight and it's a slow and stable progress. My hair loss is little now. I see progress in myself becoz I have pcos so I know it is difficult to expect alot.

But I am glad this time round I got this small happiness. Now I pray and ask the god to help me conceive too. Pls pray for me too.

My Updates to Share
Went to see the gynea today and was told that my eggs will be mature on wednesday. At the moment, it is around 17mm. He said that egg will release around size 18-20mm. He gave me some tablets to increase the lining of my uterus to prepare it for implantation.

However, I don't see any signs of ovulation yet, no stretchy mucus. So I am hoping that I will see that tomorrow. If this round doesn't work, I will need to get my mucus check cos it may be the culprit, killing all the sperms.

About sex, he also said that it takes only one sperm to swim to the eggs and that sperm has to be strong. He suggested that I can do it once a day at most. Cos the more sex, the less quality sperms. It takes at least 24 hrs for the man's factory to produce something that is ok for conception.

Hope this help.
