Just a question for all of you..... I was on metformin (500mg 2 times daily) and I found out last week that I am pregnant. My doctor told me to immediately stop taking all my meds (even the metformin) b/c the metformin is a category c in pregnancy and pregnant ladies are only allowed category a & b..... I read some posts on here that claim metformin helps to prevent miscarriage...... Why would my doc say that it is dangerous?? So confused....

Hi gals,
i am not on metformin, which I am wondering why my doc didn't give me. Do you know what is it for? I was on clomid.

Well, my cycle is going hay wire as I didn't take clomid this month. I should ov on the 1 april, and we have sex on that night only. I wanted more the next day, but my husband is not sexually active and I hve to begg him to have sex with me. In the end, we fought and we didn;t have sex the second night. I feel so lousy and frustrated. Is there anything I can do to make him more horny?

I am feeling a bit warm today, but not sure what's actually happening or am I pregnant or what. I have some med to kick start my period but not sure when is the good time to take it as I may be pregnant....So how? Please advise I am so confuse.

Lovable, do you know what is metformin for? I am not sure if I should suggest to my doc to prescribe me this med.

Do you see your gynea in a hospital or a clinic. Over here I have to make an appt and it usually take about 2 weeks. If I ov on the 1st then I can only do a hpt on the 12/4 yea? Not sure if I can wait that long....So tempted to just jump start and get into the next cycle.....

How are you doing?

I am watching the ovulation testers for a positive, so far till today it's negative. Metformin is good when u r obese, insulin resistence, pcos...

It has helped me loose 2kg a month without any changes to my diet or extra exercise or anything... I am ovulating with it n have regular periods...

Hi lovey
i decided to take the med to jump start my period. Somehow my tummy is so bloated as if my eggs are trying to come out but failed. I am wasting this cycle!
My gynea didn't prescribe metformin for don't know what reason. The next time I see him I will ask for it. I am about 10 kg over weight, maybe 15 kg for asian size.
About ov test , you need to test it only from 10am-8 pm and maybe you should try testing twice a day. Some people has very short lh surge. But I know of someone has detected for 2 days in a row.

Hi sweetie loavble,
how I it going for you? Ovulated or not?
What about your chart? Maybe you could tell from there too.

I supposed I wasted this month but somehow I really rejected not trying. Anyway, it is a bit too late to cry over spilled milk.... My period should be coming next weekend.

Debbie baby,

i am on day 17 today, still not seen ovulation. But the ovulation tester shows 2 lines today with one slightly lighter than the other. Last month I ovulated around day 18 according to the bbt chart... But this month I find my chart quite erratic... Anyway I will continue to chart to see if I have ovulated tomm day 18 or day 19... I am doing bd every 2 days once...

Right now it's night 10.30pm here and I am feeling pain at my right ovary area. I dunno if it's ovulation pain... But feels like that, I think so...

I am waiting for my husband to bd tonite... He said he will be abit late tonite due to some over-time work... I will have no choice but to wait for him to bd... If it were any other nite, I would have slept..... Lol...

So debbie,
what's ur update dear???

What day r u at n did u do any hpt???

Hi sweetie babe,
it is ok to ov at a later date, whether it is 18 or 19. There is no need to ve it exactly on cd 14. When I was on clomid my ov was around cd 14 or 15 and my cycle was really on the dot. I think the pain you felt on your tummy could be ovulation pain.

Before clomid, I used to feel so bloated , no ovulation, and pain, and had long long cycle. Then I realised that I have not been ovulating. And was told that I have pcos. If you have pcos your ultrascan will show that you have multiple eggs from big to small, all waiting to hatch. As our hormones are not balance, we don't ov but our uterus still get thicker. Therefore we get our period. But in your case, since you ovulation kit showed double line and it was almost the same time as the previous month, I believed that you have ovulated. Anyway, clomid helps ovulation.
Good luck babe and tons and tons of baby dust.
I am on the pills to kick start my period till the end of this week. Have you ever take this type of pills before? Hope you can share your experience.

Yes gal, I have taken duphaston(not sure of the spelling). It has to be taken or 5 days, afterwhich a period is expected within the next 3-7 days upon finishing the pills. I normally get the period within 5 days of stopping the pills.

How's your ttc going?

Lovable - sorry to butt in here. Your opk detects your lh surge 12-24 hours before you ovulate. Your temp won't go up until after you ovulate. You should see it go up in the next day or so.
