If you miss your period, should you continue to take the birth control? If you do continue, and you are pregnant, could that hurt the baby? Im scared I might be pregnant, and im not sure I should take more pills.
Please help! :?

When are you supposed to start your next pack of pills? Is there any way you can take a pregnancy test before then?

My doctor told me that if you take birth control pills and unknowingly are pregnant it will nore than likely cause a woman to misscarry. But I am sure that if she didnt misscarry then there could be significant harm to the baby.

I am sure there are a few out there who have had this happen only to produce a healthy baby. They were lucky.

I would call your doctor asap and see what they would suggest. I personally know two girls who got pregnant on birth control so it is not impossible.

I've read of a few ladies being preg and having healthy babies...I haven't heard of any having abnormal/miscarries...But I really haven't looked into it either. You'd be best to test before u start another pack just incase

Many women become pregnant on the pill and have healthy babies, but since you are on the pill it is assumed you do not want children, so you do have options if anyhting happens. The pill is not known to cause defects, and many women have taken it accidentaly while pregnant
