Q: Help! Anxiety? Or Health Problem?

Question: hello! I am a 21yr old female. I exercise 3 times a week, get 8hrs sleep, take a multi vitiamin & an extra 500 mg dose of vitamin c nightly, and consider myself healthy. However I do smoke. I have had panic attacks/anxiety for 3 or 4 yrs. I was on paxil my senior year of high school, but before graduation, I stopped taking it. I dont want to take medicine forever. I still have anxiety, but am trying to learn to get over it, its all in my head anyways. Is there any non-prescription medicine I can take to ease the anxiety? Also, within the last couple months, I have had trouble breathing. It seems like I can never get a satisfying breath. It feel like I am usually out of breath. I have to yawn to get that good satisfied breath. It has started to worry me. What is it? I have read several things on the internet, and it has got me worried! I want to be me again, and be free again! Please email me asap! Thanks for your time!

Hi ya maybe its just that you are thinking that you cant breathe, because it is really wierd when you think about your breathing. Iv felt like I cant breathe properly before but I dont seem to get that anymore I seem to worry more about the palpitations I always get. Have you tried counselling? Do you know what caused your anxiety in the first place? Im only 22 myself and its so horrible isnt it when everyone else our age seems to not have a care in the world when you feel like that. Anxiety can do all sorts to you though, I have definately learnt that. I have had all sorts of strange symptoms!

Hey! Thanks for the reply! It is weird. I mean every other 20 something year old is out there having fun. The first time it started I was in the school cafeteria. Now then, it wasnt bad. It would only happen every once in a great while. Then it got worse & worse. To the point that last year, I went to work, came home, layed on the couch and never ddid anything. I bought a $100,000 at age 19 got married at 20, and changed my job about 7 months before I got married, then got promoted to office manager, so ive had alot of stress. My friends were so worried. Im just always afraid im gonna pass out. But you know, its all in your head. I heard affirmations were the best healing. If I overcome this, im going to write a book, and make a website & hotline or something for free so people dealing with this can get help without paying money. I m ean some companies want like $200 for 2cds. Thats rediculous. I did come across a great website :Findthelight.Net/ it seems so cool. Oh, the affirmations do write offs & read offs "i am happy, free, & enjoy life" over & over, and you can make up your own! Like: " I feeel good, today is a good day!" good luck! Dont you wish there was a shot we could get that would just make it go away???!!! Thanx for taking the time to respond. It was nice to hear from you!
