I was recently diagnized with gall bladder
disease (42% gbef) without stones and have
been taking enzymes (to aid digestion) and
ursocol/actigall (ursodeoxycholice acid)
for it. My doctor has put me on this
medication for 6 months with a one month
followup coming soon.
My question is how long does it take for
the gall bladder to "heal" or does it even
heal? I'm on a low fat diet, but
sometimes I still get symptoms of gas,
loose motion and incomplete evacuation.
I have also joined a gym to improve my
stamina, (doing ab training too) does this
effect the gall bladder?

I had gallbladder disease without stones.
I had to have surgery, there was no
healing it. It just gets worse typically.

Hi there! I had a galbladder surgery
about 20 years ago and could not eat a lot
of greasy, rich, spicy, acidy foods as it
gave me the runs and then I had a problem
with scar tissue, which you usually get
after surgery anyways, I still have to be
near a toilet after I eat and I still have
pain and tenderness in that area, off
course, I also had a bone plug removed in
that area to be put in my neck and ended
up in my neck and ended up with staff
infection in my hip so that could be part
of the pain problem too.

i do have some tenderness across the ribs.
I just had surgery 9 months ago. I'm
assuming this is from scar tissue forming.
I also have to take metamucil daily, or I
can't get through a meal without needing
to run to the toilet. Not fun, but I was
sick for 3/4 years on a daily
basis...& then the pain kicked in 4
months before surgery. So any inconvience
I have know is minimal to what I was
dealing with. I had no idea the 3/4 years
before that I was sick every day, because
I had an inflamed gallbladder.
