My cough doesnt stop, I have the problems since last 5 months, its sometimes become severe , sometimes suddenly stops, coughing causes a lot of pain in my throat and I feel real sick as my body turns warm.I have taken medication to reduce the throat pain and cough. The throat pain stops ,the coughing also stops but it again starts very soon.My doctor says I m normal and things are caused due to infection. Please tell me what could be the reasons my cough doesnt stop completely and why do I get throat infections so often which causes severe pain in the throat and fever.

Thanks.

Well I don't know and i'm not a doctor but if it has been going on for five months I think you should pressure your doctor for more or better treatment.

Five months of a severe cough would drive me insane. You might need antibiotics or something?

Pressure your doctor.
