A patient was prescribed a calcium channel blocker to prevent angina, by decreasing the demand for oxygen. Could someone please tell me why?

Calcium Channel Blockers
Calcium channel blockers are a class of drugs that block calcium from entering the cells, by doing this it allows the arteries ti dialate allowing more blood rich oxygen to get to the heart thus reducing angina pain, which is caused by not enough oxygen getting to the heart muscle.
